Happy Bride = Happy Wedding Day
We’ve all seen those horrible brides on TV shows like Bridezilla, and no doubt you want to avoid becoming one yourself. If you want to have a great wedding day, here’s how to plan it for maximum happiness:
Step 1: Sleep well — Plan the bachelor/bachelorette party WELL before the wedding. Get a good night’s sleep the night before your wedding, and you’ll be at your best when it’s time to get up and start getting reading.
Step 2: Have a hearty breakfast — Remember, you’re in for a long day of hair, makeup, dressing, and sitting around. Make sure to have a breakfast of at least 600 to 800 calories to ensure you’ll survive until you sit down to eat your wedding meal far later in the day. Skip the coffee!
Step 3: Start getting ready hours in advance — The last thing you want to do is find yourself rushed for time, so make sure you start dressing and doing your hair/makeup well before you need to. The more time you have, the more relaxed you’ll be.
Step 4: Gather the bridesmaids — These women–plus the mothers–are going to do most of the hard work, so have them come over and get started on wedding prep first thing in the morning. If you can send the groom and groomsmen off to do important wedding tasks, all the better for you!
Step 5: Have fun as you get dressed — If you have a bottle of champagne or white wine in the dressing room, you’ll be much more relaxed as the day passes. You DON’T want to overdo it, but have a little something to take the edge off and make the day more enjoyable.
Step 6: Do something relaxing — What helps you to take your mind off your worries? Is it reading a good book, watching an episode of your favorite TV show, or taking selfies with your friends? Make sure to slot in a bit of time for relaxation before you put on the big wedding dress, and you’ll be far less jittery when it comes time.
Step 7: Turn off your phone — Your bridesmaids should be fielding all of your calls, and you need to make sure that you are completely unreachable. Disconnect from the internet, shut off your phone, and let someone else worry about the problems.
Step 8: Write out your speeches — Many couples give speeches on their wedding day, and you should have yours written out ahead of time. It will make it much easier for you to know what to say, and you won’t have to stutter and stammer out an answer if you’re put on the spot.
Step 9: Let your wedding planner do all the work — You should hire a wedding planner to help you organize your big day, as that will free you up to focus on getting ready for your big day. Let Red Scooter be that wedding planner, and we guarantee you a wedding of your dreams!
