Michelle and Simon first came to Red Scooter as guests for a New Year’s party – they loved the venue so much they came back the same year for their wedding!
Coming from a Russian background it was very important that we include aspects of their tradition, most importantly –vodka. Hosting their ceremony on site, guests were welcomed with canapés and refreshments downstairs prior to the formalities. A beautiful ceremony followed, including the lighting of the unity candle in front of friends and loved ones. Utilising the stunning backdrop of the ceremony room, our couple posed for family photos before heading upstairs into the Hamilton Room where our Yum Cha station and more roving canapés met them.
The couple chose our hand held entrée style, a more substantial offering of items including mini bowls of butter chicken and frito misto (our version of fish and chips!). Russian cold antipasto platters welcomed our guests at the tables, shortly before the couple took to the dance floor for their first dance.
Good friends Todd and Michael were on hand to provide the music for the waltz, before DJ Nick took over for their first Hora set! Guests enjoyed their mains whilst speeches were presented and later on the ever popular roving sorbets made their way through the crowd. Although DJ Nick tried his hardest to exhaust our fabulous guests, Michelle and Simon had organised a wedding after party to ensure it!
