School Formal Overload!

As most people will know, Red Scooter is pretty well known for our unique weddings. Organising a couple’s special day is second nature to us and there is a reason we have a brilliant reputation! Events are a celebration, a special occasion, all extremely important to those attending.

This rings especially true for school formals. I remember back to when I was in Year 12 and it was all we spoke about for the first half of the year; who we were taking, what we were going to wear and the secret location of the after party. The second half of the year consisted of gossip about who wore what, choice of dates and the scandalous post formal antics. More importantly though, formals are a celebration of the final leg- of 13 years of hard work, of enjoying friendships and treating the students to a lavish event thrown in their honour.

We hosted two such occasions over the weekend. For the fourth year in a row we had the pleasure of hosting Christian Brother’s College year 12 formal. Over the years we have built a relationship with the College, enjoying the celebration of their senior students and showing them a wonderful time. Friday night brought us Hampton Park Secondary College – a delightful group of students revelling the night away on our black and white dance floor. This formal was organised by the students – including all event entertainment! The guests were treated to fellow collegians’ stunning vocals over dinner before the DJ took over and the party began. Both formals were a smashing success, and with just a small suspicion the students were off to a secret venue once they left our space we bid them farewell!
